Streaky
Badboy mon...
So... as I'm sure everyone knows, being 18 makes it very difficult for one to find affordable insurance, especially on a particular Japanese hatchback with an 'H' badge on it. However, being a JDM-nut has given me very few choices on affordable cars. The Micra was the only option. After a short while I found her, a little red 1.0 facelift.
The first job on the list was to lower the bonnet. In the past the crossmember had been damaged forcing the catch up and as a result the bonnet was sitting about 1cm too high which is way too much :'(
So I took out the vertical section and filed out the hole to try and pull it down.
The finished result
Still not 100% there but I can finish it from the bonnet catch now instead. Next up was to give her the love she needed and wash her for the first time in what looked like 15 years I gave the outside a good wash down while my girlfriend cleaned all the interior out with my wide array of AutoGlym stuff
Good Girlfriend . The engine bay looked like it had never been touched so I gave it a quick clean up and not a full detail as it was't required.
And in the final hours of daylight, I T-cutted her, waxed her, broke out the black trim treatment and chrome cleaner, took her down the petrol station and here she is, all shiny shiny
She could really do with a proper polish as she's a bit scratchy and there's a good few dents to have a go at but shes a great wee runner. I plan on dropping her 60mmish and fitting rota grid-vs.
