Thinking of spraying the grill

Hey guys after Reading some people have done this with gd results I think I might have a go myself. Do you think a black grill with red detail arround the edge will look good on this. Ps rims are black with red rim pps sorry about the blossom

Yeah it works really well. Did mine today and it came out something like this...

It's very simple to do really. Just need to rub done the grill with very fine sand paper so that the chrome goes dull, and also gently rub down all of the plastic. The spray a couple of coats of primer, then I used black gloss, and the a clear lacquer.

I'm thinking of doing this, a nice gloss black from chrome... how did you remove the grille? does it just pop off? I've heard just the chrome pulls off and all sorts?
Final question... do you think it would look better black or chrome?
