Sunroof Drainage / Rust prevention

Picked up a K11 Micra GX after a 3 hour trip down to Manchester to collect last night. Fantastic condition for it being 20 year old with only 67k on the clock. (Pics to follow) I am yet to look under carpet but so far it seems solid with minimal rust, apart from the front crossmember.

On my way home at lunch time, with today's weather I heard a water draining noise from the sunroof which stopped after a few seconds. Is this something to worry about? There is no water leaking into the cabin from the sunroof.

Also being a complete novice, how would I go about keeping the car in this condition and rust proofing the areas where rust is common?

Try a "sunroof" and "drain" in the search box here, there is plenty of info. Tubes run from the sunroof and drain into the sills causing rust, some folks reroute them to the outside. Good luck.
