I thought most student loans where zero interest? I seem to remember that they were when i applied for university in 2005.
Then since i didn't go in the end i don't know for sure..?

Interest that rises with inflation, i.e. it was 2.4% and now its 4.8%... :down:

yea my loan goes up 700 quid every year. i am just looking forward to my 60th birthday so it gets the all clear. lol

I can't see why the Government would charge interest on a Loan..for one it's not a Bank and to be honest it would be in their best interest as Students are the future.
It isn't any good someone being in debt before they started....

It's not as if the Government is short of cash either, the money they get just needs to be managed better.
