sr20de k11 conversion

Am thinking of fitting an sr20de or "det" into my Micra(k11) and just wondered how much work is involved and a rough estimation of cost

also what is the best way to get an sr20, do I buy an accident right off
(in which case which car is best to choose I know quite a few Nissans are have it fitted?) or assemble the parts myself?

any knowledge/information about this conversion would be most appreciated

Best bet is to get a written off primera GT/Almera GTi, there are several different variations on the SR20DE never mind the turbo.
Make sure its a FWD donor car unless you want to spend huge amounts. Rear damage preferable, or a rusty one, you can make about £400-500 in non-essential parts.
Then its custom mounts, loom/ECU/ignition barrel swapping, driveshaft cutting, sleeving and welding, chassis strengthening, brake and suspension upgrades etc.

Or you could try the GA16DE engine for an easier job (smaller block although shafts still need cutting down) in the almera and primera SRi, among others, for a reliable 98bhp and plenty of torque to start with.
