the speedo cable broke a while ago and only got it replaced with a new one the other day but now the speedo needle does not return to zero when the car stops.
sometimes it goes down to 15 or 10 (or 5 the odd time) and you have to give the dash a tap for it to go to zero.
i have took the cable out and back in again but still wont return to zero.
any ideas what i could try to do to fix the problem?

will the speedo from another micra do and does it have to be an auto one or can parts be used from an non-auto speedo be used to fix it
any help

Its not the cable - it'll be the needle sticking to the dash. Take it apart and make sure that there is a bit of play on it (so its not touching/catching the clocks) :)
