Spark Plug Thread

Hi does anyone know what the thread size is of the standard K10 spark plugs?

(the 21mm socket ones)

also does anyone have a tap i could borrow locally to chesterfield, or tell me where i can aquire one?

I can't remember I'll find out when I get home, but just out of interest why do you need to know. have you got a new project on the go?

no not really just planting a sparkie in me tailpipe, and winding me mixture screw in a little more, but ive already groung a screwdriver for the mixture screw. lol

Use a nut that fits, not a tap, the exhaust isn't thick enough to work. Preferably weld the nut in the pipe.

well i was gunna tap the pipe as its 1.5mm stainless so should get 1 good thread, and then use a lock not to lock it.

ok then, I dunno if you can get a tap that big, I think the thread is like 19mm.

ive just read that the thread is 14mm x 1.25mm
but i would still like to confirm this first before buying one.

or get an olf plug, cut a groove up the threads, drill a hole an ram the plug in - creating a thread.
