K11 Spark Plug Gap

Hi guys, just bought my first Nissan and it's a mint 1997 Micra Vibe with a 1 litre engine. Doing the usual checks when you first get a car and I've bought some Champion EON2 spark plugs from Halfords on recommendation of this site.

They seem to be gapped at about 0.9mm whereas my old plugs are a touch over 1mm. Haven't managed to get my hands on a Haynes manual yet and have found conflicting advice on the net and this forum so I thought I'd better make sure.

The car drives OK as it is but I found a table on one thread on here (can't find it now!) that suggested 0.8 - 0.9mm.

Just realised I put this in the K10 forum.

Thanks for the reply Frank, I want to get it right for fuel economy but it's good to know I won't damage anything if I put them in as they are.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread now, but I just got hold of a Haynes manual now and it says 1.1mm, not sure why there would be a difference between one book and another.
