SLX Dials same as SuperS Ones

Ive just got some SLX clocks with a rev counter, are they the same as the superS ones i.e will the wiring diagrams posted in previous threads work?

Also what is the little heat sink on the back of dials for?

Last question would it be possible to combine the slx dials with my gsx dials. so i could keep the correct mileage on my clocks?
