shaking and squeeking, posible clutch?

hi when i pull away abit quickly sometimes get a short high pitched squeek and when in traffic travelling at slow speeds the car will shake abit as i bring the clutch up.
the car has only done 24,000 miles since 1994
is this all a cause of a worn clutch?

Could well be. I found that when I stuck some 15" alloys on my 1.0 it started doing that short squeak noise if you bring the clutch up quickly. It's the clutch slipping. Not the end of the world but certainly irritating.

a squeal from the clutch is usually the thrust bearing, but a loose alternator belt will squeal if its too slack

probably the water pump, nothing to really worry about, just change the engine belts.
