Hi all,

I'm getting the above problem. From what i have read its probably the thrust bearing BUT most people here report that the sound goes away when the pedal is depressed, my problem is the opposite. Any info/fixes would be appreciated.

p.s it's getting pretty loud and seems to be getting worse....very embarrassing....

p.s.s clutch seems to be still working fine. Will it eventually just not work or slip?

my thrust bearing has been squealing for a while now,(with the pedal down) i think it will get very graunchy before it finally lets go!
its a g/box off job so i,m putting it off for now!

Jezza, so there is no noise if you don't have your foot on the clutch?
When you get the noise is it only once the pedal is pushed fully in or anytime from when you start to push it down?

What sort of noise is it? Like a squealing or a scraping (like worn out brake pad noise) or something else?
