Rotten rear silencer with 42k on the clock ?

My 57 plate 160SR has 42k on the clock and sounds like a rattling can when driven. A quick look underneath has found a hole in the rear silencer. Does that sound about right ?

6 years? Seems right.

Exhausts typically last around 4 years and the back boxes are usually the first to rot out.

Farthest point from the engine means it takes longer to warm up and condensation can collect :)

Thanks for the reply guys. I just thought I'd ask the question as I cannot remember the last time I replaced an exhaust. What would you go for, standard or stainless sport ?

Thanks once again for the help. I've booked in for a complete stainless centre section & rear silencer to be made up for £200 all in.
