replace silencer with pipe?

Sorry if wrong section, but was wondering can you replace the silencer with a straight pipe? to get a little noise?

yes. but tbh you wouldnt notice the diffrance on a standard exhaust.

apprently 1.0's didnt have a centre silancer and the 1.3's did.

Yeah it has a cat right underneath the manifold ye? than ther is another box, i was thinking to replace it with a pipe just for a little more noise! (it has a little grunt. )

theres 2 cats in a micra. your on about the second cat. (in between the centre section and down pipe) there for de-catting it

i have a straight through bback box and a cone air filter and the car makes enough noise, i did want to de - cat it but i don't think i will now

i have just decatted mine and sportex back box and 12.00 cone air filter from ebay and my m8s say it sounds better than my other mate 3g civic lol

Oh, well my box has some metal loose, baffles? so may need to get a japcan or a SS.
