Redex petrol treatment stuff

My dad told me to try some of this red fluid out as the car is new to me and obviosuly hasn't been treated to a good flushing for a long time. On the bottle it says you can add it to the fuel or for an intensive carb clean you can shove some of it into the air intake on the top of the carb.

Trouble is, I'm not sure exactly which hole or pipe they're talking about once i have the air filter lid off as there are quite a few. Can anyone let me know?

when you rev the engine with the car off you will see a little jet squirt some fuel inside on of the holes, this is the hole you squirt a bit of redex down.

Did you get loads of crap out your exhaust when you revved it hard?

I did yes, white horrible smoke

added some to the petrol too now and might do another carb clean with the last 1/4 of the bottle.
