recon 1.2 k10 engine supplier wanted

Can anybody tell me where to get a new or reconditioned 1.2 k10 engine please? Would also consider a low mileage one. Would prefer in or near Essex please. Thanks.

last time i phoned API, they said they have stopped supplying MA series engines. However, they may have changed their mind since.

Maybe they only have engines from the newer models.

i phoned 2 years ago when the headgasket went on my MA12 and they said they have stopped doing K10 drivetrain units.

They emailed me today saying they dont do the gearboxes either

Still, i got a recon one for £75 inc VAT and delivery with a 2 months warranty from some place in Bolton

its not a very good recon for £75 then is it.

It costs almost that for the parts. The place round near me are charging about £230 for a full recon and 12 month unlimited mileage warranty.

Still. Is it the 5 speed long ratio or short ratio

It's taken from a 1.2, am I correct in assuming they're all long ratio?

I need it quite bad cos second to fifth gearchanges arent very fun
