Radiator fan!!!

hotwire the motor to the battery to check it still works

Had the battery out for most of yesterday put it back in last night went to move car this morning and had trouble starting gave it a few revs and it started reluctantly but has run fine all day (done about 60 miles and radiator fan isn't moving at all)

My fan rarely moves, think iv heard it once after a hard climb up a hill then I stopped at the top with the engine running and talked on the phone, only then did it come on

Where is this Thermostatic switch you talk of?

Should be in the side of the radiator? Once it gets to a certain temp it kicks the rad in

so getting back from a half hour drive giving it enough to hear up it should be cooling the car when I park up (engine running idle)

So if I sit on a central temp on my dash all the time it's fine??? If it goes up then I start worrying??

Some cars overreact and turn the fan on and off every 3 seconds
