Radiator and cooling

Hi guys does anyone know the best options for keeping things cool? when road rallying especially when its muddy im struggling to keep the temp down. Does anyone know the best way to have a switch in the car to override the fan and have it on constant, but not lose the fact that it can come on automatically too when needed.
Are there any bigger rads that will fit straight in?

Fit a new Nissen's Auto rad, they are 26/28mm thick vs 16mm standard.

You can fit a override switch by splitting output from the ran relay which goes to the ECU (the ECU switches to earth), take a wire from this to a switch and then to earth.

thanks for your reply can i find the relay under the bonnet with some of the fuses?

the ecu brain tripper frankspeed modification also trips the brain to turn the fan on more often.
add a second coolant temp sensor.

The fan relay is near the fan itself, in one of the black boxes, it is labelled. Use the haynes book of lies to find the right wire.
