Purchasing a k10!

Hey lads and ladys!

I have spotted a k10 for sale local to me, its up for sale due to mot run out and only 1 months tax left on it!


Spec:

1. 78,000 miles

2. 1.0 litre

3. 1991 h reg

4. 1 months tax

5. no mot

6. white

7. 3 door

8. cross member and sills apparently are fine

Bad points:

1. broken front indicator lens

2. small bit of rust on bottom of doors

3. one small dent on passengers side

Price:

100 pounds

Questions:

1. what should i check for in engine bay (i know the obvious but anything in particular?)

2. what else should i check for on the body?

3. what should i check for on the chassis?

4. should i offer him less then 100 and see if he takes it?

Do a visual check of the sills, rear are more prone to anything than the front, check tyres, if it starts and runs a car for £100 is a bargin. if you get it less - all the better. As soon as you do get it however give it a cam belt change.
 
check under the battery tray if u can, my last one fell apart there.

im picking up a 1.0ltr k10 in a week for free, tax'd and mot'd
