poor radio reception

Hi all, ive got a small problem.

the cd player i used to have fitted in the k10, had fantastic fm reception, however that same cd player fitted into my k11, has really rubbish reception, its definately pulgged into the aerial as it has an effect weather the aerials in or out,

th only thing i can think is i had to use an adapter to adapt the aerial connector to fit the radio, but i cant really imagine this having much of an effect.

any ideas? anyone having/had the same problem? how you overcome it?

try giving it another ground wire, some cars use the aerials as ground wires, which dont always work that well.

already tried that mate, the hu still powers up with the aerial disconnected

I have the same problem with my LX, but I can get radio1 quite clearly, however if I search through the listings sometimes it finds it difficult to pick up the same station again..

Mine's exactly the same. I can get the god awe full local station just fine. Occasionally getting radio 1 before auto tuning back to splash fm (shudders). The rest is just static
