Hello folks, new to forum, here with a problem of course

Trying to remove the headlight unit from my K11 '02 model. I have all the bolts off and the whole lamp is free, the problem is the damn headlight adjustment unit (black box about 10cm long) on the back of the headlamp unit. I'm replacing the whole unit following a smash and the new unit doesn't have the headlamp adjustment thing, so I need to transfer it.
But I can't get it off. Turning the white screw thing clearly isn't what I need to do (I think). I can't seem to slide it off either. Don't want to break it. Any advice please?
