Right! With my new inner sill in place I got stuck into filling the massive hole in the floor.
I welded a section of angle section around each side of the hole. The angle section is slightly thicker than the steel the Micra is made of so you get a good strong repair.
Afterwards I filled the remaining gap with a flat square.
I tacked each section in 2 inches apart then filled in the spaces. If it was a customers car I would grind the welds flat and go over the joins underneath the car. But this is my car and I doubt I'll sell it so I left it. You can see from underneath the weld has penetrated all the way thru and the repair is solid.
Gave it a quick coat of Satan black!
