OEM Steel rim with tyre weighed 2.2 stone

Just put my spare wheel on the scales and it weighed 2.2 stone, Thats 13.9kg or 30.8lb

wow i thought it would be lighter than that fwn

EDIT: just thought id update this thread with some more wheel weights:

Standard 13" K10 steels (6mm tread) 13.9 kg each
Standard 13" K11 steels (3/4mm tread) 11.7kg each
Standard K11 spare wheel 105/70/14 is 10.4kg

So ive stuck on K11 steels K11 spare and shed 12kg of weight from my K10 :)
It goes alot better now.

thats about right, my super s alloys are 7 kg (over 2 kg more than my steelies ) and about 12 kg with the tyre fitted

Im on a role with the scales just weighed my 12" sub box with the 12" sub in it - 2.1 stone 13.3kg  and thats without the amp that must weigh a couple of kg on top

need some lightweight 14's wonder how much the standard pulsar alloys weigh they are 14x6 fwn

you could always get some more power to balance it out a little :D
i.e 4-2-1 manifold / straight through exhaust etc. if its just a daily driver why worry so much :p

Well I have some 13" alloys that weigh around 5kg without tyres but they don't as nice as my new alloys :p

gah i was eying up some 100nx 14" standard alloys but 1 with a 175/65/14 tyre weighs 16.6kg :(

thats would add another 10kg to the car :(

not putting on wheels that are heavier than what i got :glare:
