no 5th gear 02 coil pack

got a little while back a decent little coil pack to tidy up
the car was in decent condition and runs and drives really well
but heres the problem it will not select 5th at all it just grinds as if its partly selected but if the cars stopped it will select and move in 5th but once its moving it just jumps straight out
ive going through the gear linkages they are ok
it was low on oil so put more in and well its made it worse really
any ideas other then the a possible synchro is gone

just a bit peeved as it drives better and runs better then 2 other coil packs ive had

im not going to scrap it tho

There is a spring that holds the selector sleeve (the part that locks the selected gear onto the shaft) in place for each gear/ gears, it has probably broke, hence why it is dropping out of 5th, it would be a complete gearbox out and strip to remedy it

Personally I'd just swap the box. They're only cheap.

Well I've been trying to get a cheap coil pack parts car but came up with no luck around here I'm in the northeast
Just cause I will want more then just a gearbox I want some panels as well and pends on the model maybe add some bits to make a better car as its a s model
