new nissan engine

the new nissan engine that has been in development for awhile is finaly finished and among the cars that have it installed is the Note or Tone as it was called for europe. its a 1.5 instead of a 1.6. this may see its way into the micra or C+C, not sure if it would be worth it though for nissan to bother with, but then why did they make the engine? so maybe its quite a lot better than the 1.4. trying do get spec on it at the moment.

what i got so far is that its 30% lighter than existing engines, 20% more fuel efficient and 5-7% more torque..
sounds quite good. a small super light weight torquey engine.
could be good for the k11, maybe same weight as the k11 1.0/1.3 blocks.

its called the HR15DE and has 109ps and 15.1 kgm. nice output for a 1.5 light engine.
has my approval.

That tone is disgusting, they have totally ruined the line of it with those rear clusters and the front, yuk, K12/Clio hybrid.
Nice engine though

yeah nice engine, not going to turn a car into a hot hatch, but would be very welcome in the k12. if nismo make some tuning parts for it, and in a stripped out interior, would make a nice nippy micra.
