New Belts for old

Recently purchased a pair of auxiliary drive belts, for a 2004 K12 1.2, from GSF, which turned out to be of the correct length but the water pump belt was the incorrect WIDTH, as was later discovered on the hard shoulder of the M58! This belt was too wide and had, therefore, slightly overlapped the ribbed pulleys on the crankshft and the water pump. Result - it started to disintegrate as the pulleys chewed up the extra width. The alternator belt is not the same width. So if you're doing this job, check the replacement belts very carefully.
