Hey guys,

Just wondering whats involved with installing ITBs? ive never had ITBs before and would like to try get some onto the K11. Ive got access to some ITBs that came off a Honda Civic EG and i was wondering if it was possible to modify the base? onto the CG13DE and what else would need to be modified?

Thanks heaps guys!
Nick

Eg civic itb's might be a little big, I know if it's come off a vtec motor the inlet flange will be way to wide. You will need to make some sort of adaptor to make fit to the micra head, or chop up a standard k11 manifold and weld it to the itb's.
Have a look on the UK micra forums, guys have put motorbike itb's on K11's before.

One of the easiest sets to adapt to the CG manifold is a set from the Suzuki GSX 600R K1/K2 engine for example. They are separable bodies, so could be tweaked exactly, however with a cylinder spacing of 80mm evenly between runners they are very close. Also at 38mm ID they should help to cater for the lack of system taper commonly seen with cut & shut conversions and thus give good results. As an added bonus they come already with around 230cc/min injectors, so they have good fueling capacity too.
