mmm...think my messing went a bit far

snappy, yet lumpy LL  this one is,nt stock then
i was trying your offset dowel method to see how far i could go....5 degrees on the exhaust and a bit too much inlet advance!!! Can you guess why?....cant believe it actually ran once i found out how i had gone wrong, too much distraction around today. Very light flywheel too

trying to shift that powerband up ? as an alternative to a taller 2nd gear
Well yes, sort of but i somehow managed to skip at tooth on the inlet, not even sure how i managed that given how often i am at these engines. was going to risk it for the weekend but decided it was a bit too rattley. set it all up again and tried 5deg on both, really could do with some advice from people who run these at very high revs to see what is the best combo.

i think the inlet will be the key to moving the powerband personally (retard for higher eh)
i really miss my cammed (8 stroking) idle :( brapbrapbrapbrap :)

Were those your reprofiled cams frank? Not trying them with a tubby build?

Sounds like you're lucky you only missed one tooth dude! Bit further could have been... Interesting.
