Micra starting problems help!!:(

hey guys and dudes :grinning:
i have a micra k11 on a l reg 1.3
i think its a import as kmh instead on mph
i was driving it back the other night and sudenly lost all power i was on the dual carrage way doing 70 . My mate behind told me there was a black smoke from the exhauste after this i totaly lost all power. And wont tick over at all it turns over as if there is no problem but there is no fire.All the lights & wipers work fine so its just the engine.Any help would be appreciated

shammy, you need to check for a spark first, then try a drop of fuel down the throttlebody

ive tried easy start this morning mate with no luck

just pull a plugcap off and fit an old sparkplug (or one of yours) into it, and lay it on the camcover to check for a spark, eh

just been out checkd spark,
camcover is plastic so layed it on cylinderhead just above manifold and on the manifold.
a weak spark and sometimes i couldnt even see a spark.
any ideas??

evrytime the engine turns over i get a spark. doesnt seem good a bright just a thin and weak.
hard to define how it looks lol

yup its got a chines badge looks like a tax disk or sumfink so must be a import

just 2 x 12mm bolts shammy, you might be best to lift the camcover off too tho (to make sure the drive slot is lined up ok )

got a spare dizzy in garage with rev limiter blanked off can easy undo this if you need one

okay bud, ive got one off a 1.0 today hope this will work as mine is a 1.3.
2 x 12mm nuts and slot old one out new one in or is there anything else i need to do?

just take note of the position of drive pins on dizzy as they are offset put the replacment in set in the same position and it should be fine. you might have to adjust slightly
