Micra in Limp Mode

I have purchased a 1.2 auto K12 and am going to be picking it up in the next few weeks.
I have got it very cheap but the car is in Limp Mode hence the price.
Is this a common fault on the micra and are there certain things that generally cause this.
Or is there a big list of things this could be?

could be crank sensor and cam sensor failure stretched timing chain or combination of both you will have to fix then clear fault code from ecu

ok so i'm guessing if it's the Timing Chain being streatched this would cause the cam and crank sensor to throw up faults?
Any idea of a ruff cost to replace the timing chain?

the 2 sensors go out of sync when the chain stretches, there are a few threads on here and ilexa
