Micra Fuel Capacity

Why the hell is it that my fuel tank only holds 37l when its supposed to hold 42l grr grr!
I was on the way back from Davey C's and the fuel light came on so I ignored it as everytime i put petrol in then it only takes about 25 litres, so as i near home i take my exit and go to morrisons to fill up, so drove round into the carpark and went to get cash.
Came back and went to start it and it wouldn't grr So I pushed it into petrol station and only 37l went in!!! Bloody badly designed tanks and level sender grr

Maybe your fuel gauge needle is wrong?

yer but still the tank doesn't hold as much as it is quoted to hold!

the pump does,nt reach the bottom of the tank (which is where the water and sh## resides) and i,ve found that you can drive on bubbles for about 5 miles, but it wont start on bubbles

yer i thought that. I may borrow a spare tank off nex and make a new fuel sender somehow :upside:
