micra electrical problem

Hi All, i have a 1.2 03 plate micra, thats got an electrical problem when i turn the ignition it does not turn the engine over the only light on the dash board that comes on is the airbag warning light, i thought it was the battery and tried to jump start it same problem, checked fuses in side car look ok, fuses under bonnet look ok there is a black relay next to fuses could this be the problem how do i check this, any help or advice welcome or do i need to have it taken to a garage....thanks

i would check that there,s power going to your fuseboxes, it sounds like a main fuselink fault to me

no idea, i,m afraid, do the headlights or sidelights work ?

most cars have a 65 or 80a main battery fuse or two, are the battery + and - and main earth connections ok ?

The connections to the battery terminals are nice and firm, in the morning when i can see i'll try find the 65 or 80amp fuse....Thanks for the advice
