micra cylinder head info

hey guys new to this site. i have a 92 k10 1 liter 5speed with no head.
i recently got hold of 89 k10 1.0 4 speed but i heard they are low compression compared to the 5 speed
if i was to put the head onto the 5 speed how much of a power drop would it have
also while i have the head off what could i do to get more power from it
any help would be great

the difference in c/r was in the piston dish apparently versey

A port and polish would see some gains, get those gases flowing

I've jus taken off my ma10 head,

Compare the inlet on both heads, and the ma12 is a much better design


Ma10 inlet, you can't even see the valve, it goes round a corner

Ma12 head, direct shot at valve

more direct yeh, but the high comp 1.0 ones are swirl ports for better fuel/air mixing

Yep, jus use the correct gasket to match the block
