micra boot release? help!

Hi all, just a quick question, i have a 1998 k11 and i am sick of taking the keys out of the ignition to open the boot, so have invested in an electronic boot release. only thing is, i cant see how to access the lock in the boot panel enough to fit it. i have removed the annoying rattly metal panel, but it gives access to everything BUT the actual boot release. the thing im fitting has a metal cable which needs to pull something on the release to open the door.

Any help is much appreciated by all u micra gurus.

have a look in behind the bootlid to see when the keys turned which stick moves and in which direction

Jump in the boot and pull some things until the boot lid opens, lol. Once you have worked out what to do feel free to create a guide, lol (Y).

Because I'm sure you're not the only one out there, Manny had a lever next to the Drivers Seat which did the Petrol cap too.
