micra 1.0 into 1.6 16v

hi guys i need some advice please i want to buy a micra in between a N and a T reg. i would like the car to be a 1.0ltr then transform the car into a 1.6 16v. could you advice me what exactly i would need to do to make the car a success. what would i need to change and what would i need to replace it with. i want to take it easy and get the car ready for next summer if possible. any help will b much appreciated thanks jay
