MAP or Alpha N tuning?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering, for a road Micra K11 coilpack on individual throttle bodies, would you recommend a MAP based tune or Alpha N based tune? We do want to maximise power but also keep some drivability.

Any help is appreciated!

I am curious, what benefits a Alpha N tune will give over a MAP tune?

Alpha N worked better for me because my throttle bodies where over sized and produced no vacuum over 20% open

I spoke to the tuner earlier today and he told me he'll be going down the alpha N route, thanks to all for the advice.

Hehe, yes he suggested alpha n is better as using MAP would require the itbs to be placed in a plenum which defeats the purpose of itbs. And also, MAP doesn't allow the fine tuning required for ITBs, as its difficult to maintain a constant vaccuum.

This is what he suggested and it aligns with what some have said on Facebook and here. Hope that helps Richard.
