MAF Question

Ive previously had issues the car running "laggy" after suggestions i narrowed it down to the Throttle body so after a few suggestions i cleaned it and also changed the filter and also spark plugs. This seemed to change the situation for the better but still a little niggley. Now after reading a few posts about the MAF sensor i experimented with disconnecting it and WOW massive difference!!

So my question is do i leave it disconnected or replace it?

Im also wanting to know if there could be any possibility of damaging anything if left disconnected?

Cheers guys...
