keyless entry won't work

My keyless fob was accidentally put in the laundry the other night and the red LED light on the fob was flashing it let me lock/unlock the car by the buttons on fob but not on door handle. So i left it for a day and today changed the battery and the car isn't locked which i'm worried about. But anyways i tried fob after changing battery and still won't work. I tried reprogramming it and tell me if this is the wrong way to do but taking the key in and out of the ignition 6 times? Let me know if it's wrong and there's another way. Or do you think i should get someone out as it's not flashing up green on dashboard and won't let me start the car.

This was a couple of weeks ago now, dare i assume you managed to sort this?
I can only guess that the washing machine may have damaged some of the internal components if , when dried completely and a new cr2032 was put in, it still wasn't working?

I don't know for sure about reprogramming by putting in the ignition, worth calling Nissan for advice...then timpsons to do the reprogramming if it's still not happening ^_^

No spare key? Get a new one?
