Keyless Entry Key Lost

Hi everyone - I'm not totally new to the forum having read before, but this is my first post (i've searched and couldnt find an answer!)

We have an 03 reg Micra SE which has the keyless entry system. The problem is, I left one of the Keys in Amsterdam when I was on a weekend away so we now only have one key :doh: .

Is it possible to reprogram a key from ebay to match it (then have a new blade cut) ? Or baybe a standard type key with plipper and just start the car using the ignition barrell (its only the spare anyway).

Ive heard it costs well over £100 to buy a new keyless key(?!) so i'm trying to find a cheaper alternative...

Your help would be greatly appreciated....

i was quoted £30 to reprogram an existing key,as long as the new was blank cant see a problem

I beleave that the keys have to be blank, once coded to a car its not possible with nissan consult to be reprogramed to another car

thats one way of doing it yea, buy a new one off ebay and go to nissan to get it programmed.
