i need to clean my k and n filter before building my induction kit. Im trying to find an alternative to buying the cleanin kit. can i just wash it using hot water and washing up liquid. can i re-oil it using engine oil. any ideas people cheers.

Just buy the kit.... Its really not that expensive

And works awesome. I cleaned the one in the white super s just the other day. Weird how the dirt all foamed up and puffed out to the surface. Then just rinsed away like a dream. It was so caked in there like stained etc before that.
