K12 Micra Rattle when steering left and stationary

Hi,

I drove my wife's 2008 K12 last night and found if the car was in neutral and I turned the car on full lock left I got a rattling sound that disappeared after a couple of seconds, the car had the handbrake on and in neutral and no accelerator, could this be the CV? the car had a MOT just last week a lower offside ball joint has play was an advisory could this be related?

Worn CV joints usually start clicking when turning left or right WHILST moving, I would change the lower ball joint as pairs if you are able, also check the inner and outer steering joints. please advice on your model of micra sports diesel or petrol?
