K11 1.3 CVT cutting out at high speed

I posted about this issue a few months ago. I thought it might been the gearbox, but certain it's ignition related now.
These are the symptoms.
Warms up fine. Around town ok. However wnen you start hitting say 50-75mph on the appropriate road. You get this hesitation. kangeroo-ing, like it's missing, but complete loss of power sometimes struggle on the motorway to get above 45mph, which naturally dangerous. I am crapping myself everytime I go on the motorway with it now.

At a standstill in netural (when this issue is occuring). Holding your foot on the pedal and the engine isn't holding revs. It's dieing then coming back to appropriate revs. Like the accelerator pedal is breaking communication with he engine.

This all points to throttle body I assume?

Can you check what voltage the alternator is putting out? ie with the engine running put a multimeter between the battery terminals, should be about 13V.

I had a car with a broken alternator that would run fine till a prelonged higher revs situation (highway/motorway) and then miss and not want to rev.
