N027 CG13DE 4.3 3.6 9.0 MARCH K11 CG13DE

that is the adaptation for there products. Which would you guys suggest to buy.

The stock one looks to be 9.0Kg. They do a light weight one which is 4.3kg. Then the ultra lightweight which is 3.6kg.

WHat would you boys recommend. I have no idea as i have never seen the difference with one in.

Hello Sikk11,

I have the a 4.3Kg Jun fitted to my car. It's been excellent and i would highly recommend it. It basically makes the engine rev more quickly and provides a bit more power.

I found my micra was significantly more responsive with it fitted with absolutely no downside.

If your flywheel is too light the car may become difficult to drive in traffic (rough idle, less engine braking effect, easier to stall etc.) but i can vouch that the 4.3kg doesn't have these problems.

BTW www.perfectrun.com.au provided a very good price when i bought it a few years ago.

I enquired as to the cost of getting two sent down together and there was only a $10 difference - $80 for each sent or $150 for two. I've ordered one through perfectrun and expect it to arrive in the next couple of weeks or so. I saw little point in getting two sent down at once since the cost of auspost (as well as the risk! :p) would make it the same price as if it were sent individually. Would only do it if you could locally get it to the other person. Plus the coordination and payment would be a bit of a pain too.

====================================
For K11 March with CG13DE engine

* Jun Light Weight Flywheel 3.6kg (Item Code: 2010M-N027): 38900Yen (= currently A$404)
====================================

Their order form sucks, but you can just use the info there to enter it into their website.

Cheers,

i noticed a slight downside when i fitted my lightened and drilled f/w to the 1.3.
on the 1.0 it was megga smooth,(right upto 9000) but on the 1.3 it gives the car a slight buzz, (akin to fitting harder engine mounts).
i dont think its a balance issue (it buzzes at all rpm and was ok on the 1.0) but i think its because there is less mass to soak up the 4 explosions of the firing strokes (where the other 7/8th,s of the 4stroke cycle is negative power i believe)
i think its not easy to compare the weight of a lightened f/w to a jun, because i,ve shed weight from only the outer edge whereas the jun is probably lighter all over
or am i talking out of my butt ?

A little off topic but piper cams Regrind to 270's is as follows. Can you boys beat that price as well.

The total cost for regrinding your cams and return carriage will be as follows:

1 x R172BP270 = £292.00
1 x Carriage = £80.00

TOTAL = £372.00

I hope this is all okay.

for basically the same price i'd be getting a set of aspect cams through greenline (they do a 272' cam). 270's are probably a bit to big if your main intentions are for the street. id go 256in 264ex at most for a street car, more like 256'256'in/ex, tomei poncams are excellent, and you should have change left from $600au ($200 cheaper then ol' mate piper's cams after he's welded em up and spun up a fully hectic duration for you)

Would you get the tomei cams through greenline too?

A little off topic but piper cams Regrind to 270's.

The problem with regrind cams is you will have to get all 16 shims measured and machined to fit, a real pain in the r's and lots of expense too!

We've got Tomei cams in our rally car and with a bit of careful measuring and swopping about didn't need to buy any shims!

We had our stock flywheel lightened but will definately be looking at a Jun flywheel soon.

Well Japan is currently having like a 2 week holiday and no orders will be processed until about a week from now (they said the 7th I think) so we've got time to possibly coordinate with perfect run for this. At least tell them to hold off sending my order until then I guess.

Funny that it's cheaper to go through perfectrun than to get straight from JUN..

tru that, its always cheaper to go through a retailer then the supplier over there, unless its a specialist shop like aspect or mullholand, there tight ass's to everyone.

I've been thinking - what's the likelihood that there's going to be much of a difference in purchasing it with 5 people vs purchasing with 1 or 2? Seems that the only thing cheaper will be postage so there won't be a huge dif. I'll enquire about cost differences for 5 people vs 2 people but I doubt there'd be much.

Cheers,

Bulk discount rates are as follows:

*2% off when you are ordering more than 5 same products
*4% off when you are ordering more than 10 same products

Up to you guys whether you think it's worth it, but to be honest i'm not sure.

yeh, they emailed me the same ****, **** that i reckon. not worth it,... we'd have to get the whole lot shipped to one place, then there'd be postage on top of that to everyone's place... stiff **** i reckon, looks like we'll have to pay the extra $3.85 :D!

Least your not waiting 12 weeks for your goods to get here like me :(

Yeah you got owned on that. GTA4 belongs in the general chat section :p

Hm, well I just got an email saying it's ready to be despatched and asking for postage payment. Dunno if that's just the standard form letter they send out when they've figured out postage costs or if it actually is ready to be sent.. *shrug*

We'll see I guess. Either way I can't fault the service of perfect run thus far.

Will do. Just got an email saying it'll be here early next week! What the hell.. he said that some manufacturers (including JUN) are open despite it being long holiday time. Thank you japan :D ****, now I need to grab a clutch so I can install it before my track day on the 10th! Haha.. nothing like a track day to get you doing crazy last-minute modding..

Edit: Actually i'll be getting a new clutch to suit this, so I'm gonna have to let it bed-in so i'll probably do this track day as it is now, and then fit it after then to let it bed in for the next track day :)

Track car, so not hugely concerned about driveability as a daily but can't be anything too extreme. I drove evade when it had the JUN fly and his heavy duty excedy and while it took a bit to get used to (stalled it twice first off!) it seemed to be quite alright once you get used to it.

Is the HD organic exedy available through nsm the one you're referring to?

no, i'd get the brass button (some ppl call it ceramic) hd exedy kit. i got the exedy ceramic disc of him, think it was about $150 + pressure plate. if its just track car. i'd definately go that.. its a pain in the ass in traffic, but great when your into it, never slips, doesn't feel lazy like an hd organic clutch.

Gah, just lost my post with a refresh. Anyhow, what I was going to say was that my gearbox is in really good nick, and the car will be turbo eventually so i'm not terribly keen on putting additional strain on the box. Decisions decisions...

Err, yeah... why would I be using skinny 13's? :p They don't even fit over my brakes! Will be using 195's or 205 wide federal 595's probably (on 14's). Whether I get the street ones or the semi's is the next decision. Hence why i'm a little concerned about the gearbox. Might just fit the flywheel, organic clutch and see how it goes on the track with semi's or something. I almost don't want to go turbo because it sounds nice enough already! Wouldn't sound the same with a turbo..

Besides, I don't see the point in fitting a turbo and fitting skinny small tyres if all I do is wheelspin. It's going to be a circuit car, so skinny tyres are somewhat useless.

if its gonna be a circuit car, don't even bother with turbo, you'll end up spending heaps of money, you'll blow an engine gauranteed, yeh, 13's are ghey, i'm pissed they don't fit over gtir brakes.. for when i want to go the full sleeper with fmic look :( wheelspin + torque steer = fun!
