anyone any ideas what caused this?

i was drivin home from blackpool tonight about 2hrs ago, anyway i was travelling at around 65mph as id just changed motorway, when suddenly without warning the car just cut-out, as if id just turned it off, everythin electrical just turned off, apart from my lights!i quickly pulled over an fort oh shine-a-light.the car started up without a problem n i got back on my way!

any ideas what happened coz im puzzled!
