28 faults ? whats the car worth jk ?

Yea lol. Most of them are fixable though. It will be fix by myself. I will list of 28 mot failures.

He don't want to get another micra so he want to fix his micra. I told him to buy another micra so he said no. He will give the money to fix this car.

It was £450 in last 6 months ago. It's y range facelift micra. It's very good engine but bodywork is not good.

For £450 he could have bought another car.

There is no logic in that. There's no valid reason for it to fail that often.

  • nearside track rod end locking device is missing. - Either a nut or split pin (9p)
  • nearside front lower suspension arm has slight play in a ball.- second hand wishbone (£20)
  • offside front suspension has a suspension lower ball joint securing nut locked. (need a pic really, but no more than £20 as above)
  • offside rear brake binding.- either new wheel cylinder (£9) or rear bias valve (couldn't find one on interwebs)
  • both sides rear parking brake recording little or no effect. - could be as simple as handbrake adjustment (free) to new cable and overhaul of rear brakes (£25-30 max at a guess)
Welding will be anyones guess

Why not have everything fixed the first time it failed?

Either this is a joke, or they're taking your friend for a ride or they need a serious looking at.

Lets say he has 14 MOTs at £55 and 14 at half price for a retest. That's £1185 quid.o_O

I don't see how you can fail, have the work done and it fail again.... for another 26 times.

"Ere mate, just done your rod end, but I notice your flux capacitor needed a new boot".

I know it's shocking though. I am going to see him and to explain what you said guys. He bought it from dodgy seller so that is why he get rip off. This thread will make people to be aware lol.

I am going to list min failures now.

Thanks for the help. I will list mot failures now. It will be chance to fix or to scrap it.

That is quite a lot of fails, but surely some of them would have been obvious that they weren't going to pass, especially having a smashed wing wirror and a nail in your tyre..
The amount it could cost to get them all fixed, he might be better off scrapping it and getting another car.

How the hell did it pass last year !!!!! a lot of that would be there last time I would have thought.
Trader does his own MOT's or his buddy, mate or old pal maybe ????

The astra?
Oh my I lol'd

Unless that welding comes to less than £200-250 I'd look at breaking it and scrapping the shell and using funds to buy another car... it'll probably cost less in the long run

Hi everyone, thanks for your advices and helping as well. I didn't check with these sill rottens properly. i made him to go to local mot centre so he wans't happy with me so i told him that car is not worth it. its time to move on. this guy is careless about cars so its not my fault. He is going to scrap this micra. :(

hope this thread will be useful for everyone to be aware with their mots. By the way, please everyone must look after and take care with their cars. I know most people do. :)
