Hi all okay went out car starts put in revese went forward well still in revese put back in park turned off car now just want start .all dash lights come on lights work .any idea what the problem good be checked transmission fluid oil have petrol .I am at a loose end and don't no what eles to do any help with this would be great .I have had no start issues no noise for car or box nothing no lights on so at a loss .as been running great .only problem I had was about 4 weeks a go car was dead jumped car and been fine since starts first turn off key until this .thanks Julie

Depending on the mileage of your car, it could be as simple as changing the automatic fluid, if this has not been done in a while, warm the car up fully without moving the car and then check the if the car moves in the direction you want. If this problem still persists, then I would recommend calling a local garage to pick up the car and have the gearbox/ cables and switches checked over.
Booked someone to come out and cheak it over on Monday as I don't have a glue don't think box is gubbed as had noise and car was running fine I am hoping its a easy fix only had 6 m so not sure when this was done to be honest
Well booked a moblie macanic to come out says it's ma starter .within 20 mins cost me 92 pound came out 2 day to fix new starter moter 320 pound and then says want start could be my realy or wires so now siting in hear with a car I have spent a packet on and will not start .piss is a under statement. I told him it was starting fine started when I cam out put in revease and went forward and I put back in park turn off and just want start now .I am at the point off towing it to a scrap yard as I am throwing money I don't have it it and everyone comes out saying diffrent stuff .I only had car 6 months anyone wany a dam pain off a car 
Thanks for getting back had a a **** week to be honest went throw what u said moblie machinic said was starter so paid for that and to fit 350 plus 92 call out day before for him to say want start think it's wire or realy problem and piss off now ma car is still in daughter's car park gubbed and I am just tossing over were to bin as .I don't have a clue and feel I am paying for part with people don't have a clue so don't think I will ever use moblie machinic again .
Try a different garage, they are playing on your lack of knowledge.
The gearbox you have works on hydraulic pressure to move the torque converter (use oil pressure to spin) you really need to find a garage that specialises in auto boxes and give them a call as i said earlier it may be as simple as fluid change but mobile mechanics are not the way to go.
