Heater Control Clicks.

Hi there,

Does anyone elses temperature control knob click as it's turned?

mine 'clicks' when I switch to vent selection which makes sense as mechanical flap should be moved to direct air accordingly

Its the temp control thats clicking though. The dial keeps falling off, so im not actually sure where cold and hot are as it keeps turninh in bith directions.

Mine temp. control clicks too, mainly at the end of its travel closest to the max heat setting. I suspect the plastic gear is worn which the control knob is fixed to, but I haven't dismantled it yet!

Cool, I'm planning on replacing the unit at some point. It doesn't sound as serious as I thought though so Its on the low priority to do list LOL.

its definitely easier to replace the unit. but..... if you take it out of the dash, spray WD-40 down the wire outers and should help a bit.

i did it nearly 2 years ago mate. its been a long times since.

Mine clicks when I turn my temp gauge too. I can only put my "Hot" half way on the dial not max? If I try to put on max the dial keeps clicking and I worry I might brake it.
