Heated Rear Window Switch

Hi all,

Was wondering if the heated rear window/hazard light switches pop out, or do I have to take the dash apart to change the bulb/switch unit? The heated rear window switch works, but doesn't light up, so I can't tell if it's on or not at a glance.

If I have to take the dash apart, how do I do it? My Haynes manual isn't too clear, plus the dash they show is from the earlier K11. My car is a 2001 model.

If it is anything like mine (have the same problem) it's just a few screws around the center console and you can pull it off and behind is the switch plug with disconnects easy then just pop the new switch in it's place.

It really is very easy. there are some screws hidden inside the ash tray that i think need to be removed but its been a while since i did mine, undo the screws and pull.

mine comes out with a screw driver under the switch nice and easy and then comes out with a bang and bob will be your uncle
