heated rear window switch

Hi All
my 1993 1.0 l hrw no longer operates. it was a bit temperamental such that if you banged the dash it came on but no more. ive checked the fuse, that's ok. any idea how i extract the switch from the dash?...............maybe its a loose wire?

sounds like a loosen connection if you bang it and it works, best bet of finding it would be a multimeter and check for continuity every place you can get to along the wire
