Headlights problem..

Hi folks,

I noticed my right headlight was not working so I replaced the bulb.

To my surprise it still didn't work. When I switch on the dips, (the same bulb) it works.

Anyone know what the problem is here ?

If the wiring on the K12 is anything like the K10 then there is a separate fuse for each side, so try the fuses i guess.

On my daughter's K11, the plug on connectors to the lamp (bulb) were prone to corrosion which caused arcing and melting of the plug. Not sure what the connection is on the K12 but it might be worth checking. The only real solution was to splice in a new connector and replace with a new lamp to make sure contacts were clean.

whats not working, main beam or dip? side light is a separate bulb altogether.

I had trouble recently with something similar and replacing the bulb didn't work. Turned out the metal retaining clip at the back wasn't tight enough and the connection wasn't made. With the lights turned on push the bulb & connector into the headlight and see if that works. If so, bend the metal retaining clip spring.
