headlight fuse keeps blowing

Hi, can anyone help...
My headlight fuse keeps blowing(left), The conector in the link box for it has now become lose as well.
Does anyone have a suggestion as for waht is causing this?

1. Did you install an aftermarket head unit and wire the dimmer switch wrong?

2. Are you using the correct fuse (rating)?

3. If the connection is loose it may be shorting something/somewhere.. go back to basics.. secure the wire and try again.

4. Wire short - elsewhere in the car

5. Over-heating?

6. Dirty/corroded contacts (fuse box)?

7. Possible Earth Problem

Those are my guesses for now but wait until the experts post! I would go with option 3 in the mean time.
